Board hears animal-control update after four cats were poisoned

The South River Board of Health on Feb. 17 received an animal-control update that urged resident assistance and requests for supplies. "There were four cats that were poisoned and had to be euthanized," Larissa said while describing recent animal-control needs; she also asked for blankets and towels to support stray and sheltered animals.
Larissa said the town has seen no new trappings or bills and asked residents to help with TNR efforts. She noted that Adopt a Pet of Freehold could also use towels and blankets, and Board members Bonnie Trygar and Regina offered their business locations as points for collection.
