Detective Britney Tommaso, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Force Investigations Team, told the review that the incident occurred in the 9200 block of West Russell Road on Jan. 6, 2026 and that the 911 text from the victim (AD) came in at 07:34:32. She said dispatch could only provide a building-level ping, not the specific apartment number, and that officers initially went to a different building before locating Apartment 460 in the correct complex.
Tommaso gave a minute-by-minute account: officers were assigned after the 07:34:32 text, made contact attempts, and by about 08:00:05 officers were outside the apartment when the door opened and the shooting occurred. She emphasized that body-worn camera footage and still images show the sequence of events leading up to the shooting.
