Union Grove ISD extends contracts for counselors, administrators and business manager
Summary
After a closed session Feb. 10, the board unanimously extended contracts for multiple employees including Kathryn Smith, Stephaney Wallace, Amanda Childress, Jennifer Applegate, Kyle Adams, Colton Shaver and Elizabeth Higgins. Extensions cover 2025–26 and, where noted, 2026–27.
Following a closed session, the Union Grove ISD Board of Trustees on Feb. 10 approved multiple contract extensions for district staff. Motions were recorded as unanimous for each extension.
Contracts extended include Kathryn Smith (Elementary Counselor, 10-month term contract for 2025–26); Stephaney Wallace (Certified Administrator, 11-month term contract for 2025–26); Amanda Childress (Certified Administrator, 11-month term contract for 2025–26); Jennifer Applegate (District Counselor, 11-month probationary contract for 2025–26); Kyle Adams (Certified Administrator, 12-month multi-year term contract extended one year to 2026–27); Colton Shaver (Non-Certified Professional, Technology Director, 12-month multi-year term contract for 2025–26 and 2026–27); and Elizabeth Higgins (Non-Certified Professional, Business Manager, 12-month probationary contract for 2025–26).
