Speakers at the town hall said the Fairview Library book sale will take place the last week of August, with a business preview night on August 26. According to speakers, preview admission will be $10 for individuals and $50 for businesses; businesses will receive a small number of tickets to give to employees or customers for preview access.
Organizers said proceeds fund library needs beyond county allocations, including summer-reading programs, additional materials for the Fairview librarian, and new meeting-room tables and a DVD display rack. The sale will include a bake sale handled by FCE on Saturday, and book drop-offs are being paused the week before the sale so volunteers can prepare stock.
