Residents say new city signs are unreadable; officials say contractor will replace letters

At Monday’s town hall, Meredith Kaiser, 7321 Cox Run Court, said the city’s new version-C signs "are not what was on the plan" and are difficult to read. "I cannot read them," she said, describing disappointment that the installed letters and contrast did not match the black-and-white renderings she supported.
The Moderator acknowledged the problem and said the letters "are gonna be replaced," explaining that the installed lettering was not what the city ordered. The Moderator said the replacements will be white acrylic mounted on a dark background so the lettering will be visible both day and night. A staff member added that communications with the contractor were delayed but that the contractor has agreed to correct the work.
The exchange also touched on construction timing and materials: residents noted weather delays and intermittent supplies of stone during installation, but praised the workmanship even as they asked for the final look to match the originally approved design. Officials urged residents to continue reporting issues so staff can follow up with the contractor.
