He said Thomasville would contribute $1,000,000 from its Child Nutrition Fund and request $450,000 from lottery funds as part of local matching. Commissioners questioned enrollment trends, timelines and contingency plans if the grant is not awarded; staff and the superintendent agreed to return with more detailed financial scenarios and a timeline for application and decision points.
