Old Tappan adopts ordinance changing sewer service charges

The Borough of Old Tappan adopted Ordinance 12‑58‑24 on second and final reading to amend sewer service charges and Chapter 198 (sanitary sewers) of the borough code. Councilman Karnazes read the ordinance and opened the hearing to the public; no resident spoke and the council moved to adopt.
"This is a 2nd reading final adoption," Councilman Karnazes said as he read the ordinance and the motion to adopt was approved. The ordinance text directs the borough clerk to publish the notice of adoption as required by law.
The adoption was completed by roll call with affirmative votes recorded in favor; no opposing votes were announced on the record. The council did not add or amend the ordinance during the session. The clerk will post the statutory notice and incorporate the new sewer service charge language into the municipal code.
