The Spearman ISD Board of Trustees adopted an Order canvassing returns and declaring the results of the May 3, 2025 bond election, as memorialized in Exhibit A. The order sets out three propositions: Proposition A, authorizing up to $1,200,000 for athletic facilities; Proposition B, authorizing up to $3,275,000 for construction, buses and security-related vehicle purchases; and Proposition C, authorizing up to $4,750,000 to refund certain 2021 maintenance and limited tax obligations. The board adopted the order by motion (moved by Jay Tracy and seconded by Anne Marie Pearson) and the minutes record the motion as carried 7-0.
The exhibit attached to the order records vote tabulations for each proposition (Proposition A: 253 for, 120 against; Proposition B: 275 for, 101 against; Proposition C: 262 for, 115 against) and directs the secretary to enter the official returns in the district register and to provide the notices required by the Election Code. The order states it is effective immediately upon passage.
