The Valley View ISD Board approved two purchases exceeding $10,000 during its Jan. 13 meeting: an approximate $15,030 fence for the Valley View Junior High field (to be funded with grant funds) and an approximate $13,500 canopy to be built between the high school library and the A/B building (to be funded with local funds). Efrain Matamoros, Executive Director of District Operations, presented the items.
Board President Claudia Coronado moved and Jaime Gaona seconded the motion to approve the expenses; the minutes show the motion carried unanimously. The purchases were authorized as part of routine facilities maintenance and improvements; funding sources were recorded as grant funds for the fence and local funds for the canopy.
