Veribest athletes advance to regional competition after strong district finishes

Athletic Director Justin Morris told trustees the district's spring sports programs posted multiple postseason qualifiers.
"We recently wrapped up district play and both groups competed very well," Morris wrote in his report. He reported girls' golf placed second at district and advanced to regionals April 14-15 in Abilene, and that both boys' and girls' track had multiple athletes advancing to the regional meet April 18-19. Morris provided a roster of qualifiers, including Chloe Becker, Aidyn Palmer, Kayden Broadway, Hunter Tucker, Ben Garcia, Jesse Hight and others.
Morris described junior-high and high-school tennis progress and noted the junior-high tennis program launched with 24 participants. The report was submitted as an attached administrator report; the board did not take action on athletics at the meeting.
