The Industrial Development Agency voted to grant two easements to Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation to enable gas and electrical service to the developers of 147 Cannon Street. The board discussed a diagram of the proposed easements and approved the motion by voice vote.
A staff member identified in the transcript as Maggie explained the arrangement: "This is basically for, so the developers of 147 Cannon Street could get gas and electric services to, the property." She said one easement covers gas piping that runs under the road along Cannon Street and the other covers an electrical guide wire for overhead service. Maggie also noted the IDA still owns the green space between the curb and the property line, and that the developers performed landscaping and will be responsible for maintaining that area.
