Resident urges borough to fix website migration, raises concerns about Monmouth University acquisitions

During the public-comment period resident Steve Schulz (56 Summers Ave) raised several transparency and municipal-management concerns. He noted that planning and zoning agendas were missing from the borough website and said the Borough Clerk attributed the omission to a transition to a new website with incomplete data migration. Schulz also observed that a sidewalk ordinance and a generators ordinance from 2025 are not yet codified in the e‑code book and that 2025 ordinances can be found in the website's "new laws" tab until codification is complete.
Schulz also raised fiscal concerns, saying Monmouth University's continued property acquisitions may be reducing the borough's tax base and urging the borough liaison to investigate why the university's annual contribution to the town is lower than what neighboring municipalities receive. The council did not take action on these public comments during the caucus session; Clerk follow-up and any liaison reporting would appear on a future agenda if pursued.
