Superintendent Shaw told the board that elementary music tours will begin Sept. 18 and that community education programs are underway. He said homecoming is set for Friday, Sept. 26, and reminded the board the naming process for the Arbwick Buildings will come before them on Sept. 23, guided in part by a public survey and social‑media input.
Board member Carrie reported that the girls swim team placed first at the Dundee Smizzle Relays and outscored the next team by more than 78 points. "They did fantastic at the Dundee Smizzle Relays. 1st place for Monroe for the girls team," she said, and the board offered congratulations.
