Borough Administrator Glenn Domenick asked the council to authorize payment for a Pierce fire engine that had been encumbered in 2024, saying the payment would ultimately reduce the total cost by $17,000. Domenick said the payment authorized now would cover only the portion needed at this time and that the remaining balance would be paid later. Borough Counsel Jarrid Kantor was asked to draft a resolution to authorize payment for goods not yet received.
During public comment Resident Doreen Custode asked whether the full cost of the fire engine would be bonded and when the next capital budget discussion would be scheduled. Domenick replied that only the portion of the payment needed at this time would be authorized, the balance would be paid later, and that the capital budget meeting had not yet been scheduled. Domenick also said a Request for Proposals for Walker Park house improvements was being drafted for future review.
