Veribest ISD board seats trustees and reappoints Mark Kellermeier as president

The Veribest Independent School District Board of Trustees convened May 19 and administered the Oath of Office to Tony Rojo and to Mark Kellermeier, who were officially seated as trustees. Kim Dusek, superintendent secretary, administered the oaths.
At the reorganization portion of the meeting the board adopted a slate of officers. On motions that passed unanimously (6–0), Dalena Freeman moved and Brady Bates seconded to appoint Mark Kellermeier as board president; Freeman moved and Dan Reed seconded to appoint Mark Schwartz as vice-president; and Mark Kellermeier moved and Mark Schwartz seconded to appoint Dalena Freeman as board secretary. Each appointment was recorded as passing 6–0.
The board also confirmed its members present (Mark Kellermeier, Dalena Freeman, Mark Schwartz, Dan Reed, Brady Bates and Tony Rojo) and noted Thadd Martin as absent. The reorganization completes the board’s officer assignments for the coming year and allows the board to proceed with routine business.
