The Village of Green Island Board of Trustees authorized the mayor to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services to accept an FY2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
Manny credited Chief Price for applying for the grant and said the award would cover the department's purchase of Axon body cameras. "He, applied for this grant for us," Manny said, and the board voted to authorize the mayor to execute the agreement. The authorization was added to the meeting agenda as other business and carried by voice vote.
