Art teacher hails Chalk Festival growth, flags vendor and generator issues

The presentation noted vendors struggled with generator noise after organizers placed food trucks on a side street this year.
The presenter repeated a positive anecdote about a returning artist who recovered from cancer and won an award this year. Board members praised the event’s growth and asked whether the city’s geo-fencing data could provide multi-year comparisons to justify future funding. The organizer said she was working to refine vendor placement and hoped the committee would support outreach to attract more youth participants next year.
