Planned Parenthood warns federal changes are shrinking education and outreach capacity

She told the committee that the funding shift has caused program cuts: “As a result of this and multiple cuts, 1 affiliate has had to cut their education staff from 28 to 6.”
Panelists and members discussed how these education cuts translate to lost community relationships and preventive supports. Pedroza and others urged state support for community‑centered education and asked legislators to consider funding priorities that sustain promotoras and integrated, culturally responsive programming.
