After the presentation, board member April Mikulenka moved to approve the audit and Tom Strickland seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to approve the 2023-2024 audit as presented.
The approval came after an earlier public hearing that recorded the district's Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas result: a 98 ("Superior Achievement") based on the 2022-2023 school-year data. The board did not record individual roll-call votes in the public minutes; the motion is recorded as having passed unanimously.
The board also approved consent calendar items earlier in the meeting, including minutes from Nov. 5, 2024, and routine financial statements. The district will include the approved AFR in its public records and file the audit per state reporting requirements.
