Union Grove honors students and staff; UGHS band places 4th at state marching contest

The Union Grove ISD board recognized students and staff during its Dec. 9 meeting. Star Students of the Month were listed as Holden Gillette (elementary), Kinley Smith (junior high) and Kody Nutt (high school). Star Staff of the Month were Kelli Stanford (elementary) and Jodie Mayhan (JH/HS).
The UGHS band was also recognized for placing fourth in the state in the State Marching Contest; members performed a couple of Christmas songs for attendees during the meeting. The minutes note the band achievement as part of the student recognition portion of the agenda.
