Tulia ISD board approves recommended administrator contracts and employment offers
Summary

After convening in closed session under the Texas Open Meetings Act, Section 551.074, the Tulia ISD board returned to open session March 24 and approved the superintendent’s recommendations to employ staff under one-year term contracts, one-year probationary contracts and two-year term contracts as listed in the superintendent’s recommendation. Trustee Nicole Gore moved the motion and Trustee Clint Mahannah seconded it; the vote was unanimous.
The superintendent’s written recommendation (included in the meeting record) lists recommended contract types by name. The document recommends one-year term contracts for Assistant Principals (example: Robert Vasquez), one-year probationary contracts for Assistant Principals (example: Adam Rosales), and two-year term contracts for principals and certain directors (examples: Lynett Walker, Robin Salazar, Kris Friel, Daniel Keith, Brandon Douglas, Diana Wolfe, Roxie Ralston). The board authorized the Board President to execute contracts for employees accepting the offers.
