Middle-school track on schedule; some recreation projects on hold after CIP denial

Staff said a paver walkway at CH Barrows STEM Academy was completed and that a new maintenance dump truck has been delivered.
Albie Harris reported that asbestos removal testing at Natchaug returned negative and that the district plans to remove and replace steam boilers in July/August. Mark Doyle asked about tennis and basketball courts; Harris said those projects are on hold pending completion of a retaining-wall project that did not receive CIP funding this year.
The committee did not vote on CIP reallocations at the meeting; staff will report further as projects progress.
