The committee received a status report on the Windham High School Renovate-as-New project on July 1. Facilities staff listed several tasks scheduled this summer and fall, including installation of new expansion tanks for the heating/cooling loop scheduled for July and mini-split installation in MDF and IDF rooms also scheduled for July.
Work to repair walls in the music rooms has started, and replacement of door frames and thresholds in four restroom entrances is scheduled for the end of July. The cooling-tower coil replacement was rescheduled to October. Committee members clarified that these items are being paid through Renovate-as-New committee funding and said the committee is acting as project manager but is not fiscally responsible for the items under discussion.
No vote or additional budget authorization was requested at the committee meeting; staff will continue to report progress to the committee and full board as the project advances.
