Troy ISD trustees approve consent agenda and move January meeting to Jan. 26

At its Sept. 15 meeting the Troy ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a consent agenda that included the Aug. 25 meeting minutes, athletic and tax receipts, revenue/expenditure reports and appointments to the School Health Advisory Council. Trustee Kirk Bailey moved the consent agenda; Trustee Lindsey Strait seconded and the board recorded all seven trustees as voting yes.
Separately, Trustee Bill Negron moved, and Trustee Kirk Bailey seconded, a motion to change the regular January board meeting date to Jan. 26; the motion also passed unanimously. The board later approved a motion by President Gary McMurtry, seconded by Trustee Carrie Trees, to adjourn at 6:49 p.m.
All recorded board votes in the minutes show unanimous approval; the posted minutes list ayes for each motion and no recorded nays or abstentions. The minutes were subsequently approved (document signature lines indicate approval dated Oct. 20, 2025).
