City administration proposed a procedural change to utility billing at the Nov. 17 staff meeting: move the monthly water shut-off from the second Tuesday to the second Monday of each month. Staff explained the shift would provide residents with two full business days to pay before shut-off, which could help with unforeseen payment delays.
Administration also reported that business license renewal notices are being mailed and that Building Inspector Jeff Monroe will inspect eight businesses and look for any unlicensed operations. Separately, staff said the final ramp design is nearly complete and printouts are expected next week. No regulatory change or implementation date for the shut-off schedule was recorded in the minutes.
