High School Green Team seeks help placing bottle-cap collection bins for art project

High School Green Team members Jack Altman and Emily Dayton, joined by HS liaison Ben Kushan, described a townwide project to collect plastic bottle caps for an art project created with the high school's art classes. The program already involves the high school, middle school and two elementary schools; the team said they are continuing outreach to the remaining elementary schools and hope the borough will host collection bins at municipal sites.
The students asked Council liaison Julie O'Connor for help obtaining permissions to place bins in municipal locations and for inclusion in the mayor's weekly announcement. Commissioners expressed support for the youth-led project and encouraged coordination with DPW for bin placement and collection logistics.
