Valley View ISD board accepts interim superintendent’s termination recommendations for two employees

After a closed executive session Nov. 22, the Valley View ISD board unanimously accepted Interim Superintendent Dr. Monica Luna’s recommendations to terminate contractual employee Yesenia Rodriguez and non-contractual employee Juan Sanchez.
Following an executive session held under Texas Government Code §551.074, the Valley View ISD Board of Trustees accepted the interim superintendent’s recommendations to terminate two employees during the Nov. 22 special meeting.
The board accepted the recommendation to terminate contractual employee Yesenia Rodriguez by motion from Jaime Gaona, seconded by Claudia Coronado; that motion carried unanimously. The board also accepted the recommendation to terminate non-contractual employee Juan Sanchez by motion from Jaime Gaona, seconded by Marisol Peña; that motion also carried unanimously. The minutes record these as formal actions taken in open session after the executive session.
