During the public-comment portion of the Sept. 23 meeting, resident Brandy Schoener asked the board to provide funding to stock the Van Alstyne Middle School library and to purchase PE equipment. Schoener asked that district leadership delegate funds for books and for PE supplies to address immediate needs.
Board member David Kerr requested Acting Superintendent Ryan Coleman follow up and look into available library funds, directing staff to report back. The request was recorded in the meeting’s directions to the superintendent.
