Trustee Tricoci moved and Trustee Sarro seconded a resolution authorizing an agreement between the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Village of North Riverside that permits municipal construction and maintenance work on state right-of-ways. The board approved Resolution 26-R-06 by roll-call vote with five ayes and one trustee absent.
Trustee Tricoci introduced the request as coming from the Public Works Department; the board also noted a forthcoming Public Utilities Committee meeting focused on the 27th Street Sewer Project. The resolution authorizes the village to enter an agreement with IDOT to complete municipal construction and maintenance work in state-controlled right-of-way, which is customary when local crews will operate in state corridors.
