Board approves multiple station amenities and safety items, tables two health items

At its March 12 meeting the Rolling Meadows Foreign Fire Insurance Board approved a package of station amenities and smaller safety/equipment items. Approved items included $500 for photo frames, $1,200 for two replacement recliners, $800 for dining sets for both stations, $500 for 10 combined CO/smoke units, $1,500 for a patio screen at Station 16, $1,000 for True North decon bags, and $1,000 for radio straps and bags for new hires. All approvals were recorded by roll-call vote and noted as unanimous in the minutes unless otherwise specified.
Two items were tabled: a proposal for wellness chairs and a separate item for cancer screenings (initials MM). The minutes do not record dollar amounts or next steps for the tabled items. The approved items draw on the board's Foreign Fire Insurance fund and will proceed through procurement or equipment placement as arranged by the department.
