During the public-comment portions of the May 26 meeting several residents urged the borough to investigate construction and permit issues.
Jeff Ivler asked whether permits had been issued for 10 Sunset Drive and requested a review of a possible encroachment by new construction at 165 Grandview Avenue onto borough-owned Block 2006, Lot 19; he asked that the borough conduct a title search and property survey. Ivler also said the new construction at 19 Squire Hill included a front-facing garage and encouraged attendance at the Zoning Board meeting the following day where a related variance would be considered.
Richard Verde reported a motor-vehicle crash at Hickory Drive and Mountain Avenue earlier that day and asked that 25-mph signs and speed humps be installed on Hickory Drive. The clerk announced the Zoning Board meeting scheduled for May 27, 2026 was canceled.
Councilman Tilton restated a request for investigation into permits for 10 Sunset Drive; the council did not record any immediate enforcement actions that night but noted items for follow-up.
