On May 26, 2026 the North Caldwell Borough Council approved amendments to and then adopted the 2026 municipal budget. Council passed Resolution R-102-2026 to amend the budget by $30,500 to cover an invoice from Caldwell Sewer, then approved Resolution R-103-2026 adopting the amended budget.
Chief Financial Officer Rich Mondelli presented the amendment, explaining that the sewer budget needed a $30,500 increase because of the recent Caldwell Sewer invoice. Councilman Arthur Rees opened the public hearing on the amendment; no members of the public spoke on the amendment before the council voted to close the hearing and approve the change.
Mayor Raymond thanked the Finance Committee and CFO Mondelli and noted the adopted budget reflects a modest 1.21% increase. The council authorized reading the budget by title under Resolution R-101-2026 prior to the hearings.
