WHS students, coaches and teams highlighted in superintendent report

Superintendent Dr. Bonewald used his report to highlight a series of student and staff achievements across the district. He noted that WHS students Susan Perdue and Sage Hall received honors in the Texas Association of Journalism Educators' "Best of Texas" contest; WHS Cheer will compete in the UIL State Spirit Championships on Jan. 17; and WHS Speech & Debate took first place as a team at the Waco Connally meet, earning multiple state qualifications.
Athletic milestones were also noted: Lady Texan Soccer Coach Eric Nichols recorded his 350th career coaching victory, WHS senior Cody Stoever was named MVP, and Coach Doug Warren was named Coach of the Year by the Hill Country Coaches Association.
