City manager announces $21.64 million in water grants and discusses 287(g) request from ICE

Williams also said the City was asked to enter a 287(g) Agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that would designate task force officers to assist ICE when requested; he said officers would remain on their regular duties, receive specific ICE training, and the Police Chief would be authorized to proceed with executing the agreement if the commission directs. Williams additionally provided a construction update on Tucker Ranch, noting near completion of sitework and poured footers despite drought conditions.
