City Engineer Jim Monahan reported that Wharton‑Smith re‑evaluated bids and calculated final savings that yielded a deductive change order to GMP‑2 in the amount of $3,747,170. Monahan said the tabulations were included in the meeting packet and staff recommended approval of the deduction.
City Manager Jon C. Williams noted the deduction would be set aside for Construction Engineering and Inspection services to be addressed later. Commissioner Colin Sharman moved to approve the change order; Commissioner Iliana R. Jones seconded and the motion carried unanimously, 5-0. The revised total project cost was listed as $128,890,600, which includes $5,107,615 approved earlier for GMP‑1 in February 2024.
