New Home to Suites permit application for Tashi Hospitality sent to state after board review

At the Aug. 6 session, Anton Davidson, the hotel's general manager, said he prepared the application and affirmed that answers were truthful. Michelle Charber reviewed the application and procedures and recommended forwarding the file to the state commission because the local board did not have a full quorum to act.
"I prepared it," Davidson said when asked about who completed the permit paperwork. Charber told the applicant, "So this will go to the commission hearing on the I believe it's the 18th," and explained that once the ATC shows the permit as "active" the applicant can order from wholesalers and the printed permit will be mailed.
Board members asked operational questions: Davidson said the hotel will keep market coolers locked or have staff retrieve alcohol, follow Hilton check-in ID standards for verifying age, require employee permits and training (BASSET or similar), and acknowledged excise officers may enter and inspect premises. Charber recommended forwarding the application to the Indiana ATC for formal consideration at the commission hearing.
