Council highlights summer programs, Creek Cleanup and farmers market

A councilor reported that morning Sunrise Yoga drew "close to 900 people" this summer and encouraged residents to attend remaining sessions; the parks team and garden volunteers were also recognized for supplying the local food pantry.
Another councilor announced the 2nd annual Creek Cleanup Day at Thomas Park on the 15th (9 a.m. to noon), invited participation and noted there will be a food truck and prizes. Councilors also thanked park staff for running the farmers market despite rain and reminded residents of upcoming school start dates.
