The Kandiyohi City Council on July 20 adopted Resolution 202617 establishing the Fire Apparatus and Equipment Fund contribution schedule for 2027–2029. The resolution fixes a 10% annual increase in the total fund contribution and establishes the cost-sharing formula between the City of Kandiyohi, Kandiyohi Township and the portion of Green Lake Township served by the Kandiyohi Fire Department.
Under the adopted schedule the City of Kandiyohi’s annual contribution is listed as $7,887 for 2027, $8,675.70 for 2028 and $9,543.27 for 2029. Kandiyohi Township’s contributions are $6,930 (2027), $7,623 (2028) and $8,385.30 (2029); Green Lake Township’s shares are $1,683 (2027), $1,851.30 (2028) and $2,036.43 (2029). The total annual fund is shown as $16,500 (2027), $18,150 (2028) and $19,965 (2029).
Council Member Spencer Hunt moved to approve the resolution; Council Member Jeff Clark seconded. Mayor Lindstrand called for a voice vote: McGillivray – Yes, Hunt – Yes, Clark – Yes, Giese – Abstained. The motion carried.
