Mayor Louann M. Cox read a proclamation noting that "Fliegauf Jewelers was established in the Borough in May of 1926" and commended the business for four generations of service to the community. The proclamation directs that the recognition be recorded in the official records of the Borough of Washington.
Mayor Cox also read a proclamation honoring Bonnie Hill for her longtime service with Warren County ARC, including work on the Small Cities Community Block Grant that helped improve local housing conditions; the mayor declared May 5, 2026 "Bonnie Hill Day" within the borough.
Both proclamations were read into the record and signed by the mayor; they were ceremonial recognitions and did not require council votes during the meeting.
