Waller ISD forms subcommittee to draft 2025–26 school calendar; community survey to follow

Chief Academic Officer Kelly Baehren told trustees a District Site Based Decision Making Committee subcommittee will begin work in late November to produce options for the 2025–2026 school calendar. The subcommittee will use staff survey data and must account for state requirements on student minutes and teacher contract days, national holidays and other parameters.
Baehren said the subcommittee plans to complete its work in January, after which the district will issue a community survey and the subcommittee expects to recommend a calendar option to the board at its regular meeting in February. No final calendar has been set; the process will continue into the winter months.
