City Controller Tamiko Smith told the Finance Committee that an appropriation on the council agenda would come from the tree violation fund and that the current balance in that fund is $260,375.
"There is just 1 appropriation on the council's agenda for tonight, which is from the tree violation fund," Tamiko Smith said, adding: "the current balance in that fund is $260,000, $260,375. And if this appropriation is approved, then the remaining balance will be $230,375." The controller said she would provide copies of related documents at the council meeting for informational purposes.
