The Waxahachie ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda items A–M and O during its Nov. 11 meeting. Trustee Adrian Cooper moved to approve the consent items, President Dusty Autrey removed item N from the list, and Trustee Clay Schoolfield seconded the motion. The motion passed 5-0 while Trustee Judd McCutchen was briefly out of the room.
Approved items included routine minutes and financial reports, maintenance and transportation reports, the approval of new and modified positions, and specific procurement and contract authorizations: a proposal from Geotex Engineering for materials testing at Finley Junior High (estimated $54,000); purchase of two Chevrolet Suburbans from Five Star Chevrolet (cost not to exceed $124,100); purchase of two 53-passenger buses from Longhorn Bus Sales (cost not to exceed $304,526); interlocal agreements including with Ellis County and with Region 10; and a contract with Harts Flooring to replace VCT with LVT at Hancock using Proposition A funds (cost not to exceed $235,000).
Also approved was permission for four Shackelford Elementary staff to attend the Leader in Me Symposium in Orlando, listed in board materials as Jan. 27'32, 2025; the meeting record shows the dates as provided in the agenda materials and did not specify personnel travel costs. Item N (a private easement to SWS Properties, LLC) was removed from the consent agenda by President Autrey for separate consideration.
