Board advances two draft 2026–27 calendar options for public comment

After staff presented survey results, the Granite board approved two draft calendar options for the 2026–27 school year to be posted for a final public survey in January.
Shauna Jensen and Steve Perschon, directors for School Leadership and Improvement, presented the results of a district calendar survey and described two draft calendar options developed from community feedback. The board voted to accept both draft options for final public survey and comment in January.
Julie Jackson moved to advance the two calendar options and Clarke Nelson seconded; President McDermott called the vote and the motion passed unanimously. District staff will post the drafts and collect additional public feedback as part of the standard calendar-adoption process.
