Council set a schedule for utility-rate study planning and follow-up meetings and formally set a public hearing for a municipal water-system redevelopment block grant application.
Clerk and staff outlined upcoming dates: a utility-rate study planning session on Monday, Aug. 10; a planning session on Aug. 12; and a regular meeting on Aug. 17. Staff said the consultant will present the rate-model material for council review and that questions should be consolidated and routed through staff to avoid multiple, duplicative requests. Staff also set the public hearing for the municipal water-system redevelopment grant for Aug. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
Council members agreed on consolidating questions for the consultant to ensure consistent answers and to review the model ahead of the follow-up meeting; staff agreed to distribute materials and coordinate presentation timing.
