During the Feb. 17 meeting the City opened sealed bids for the 2026 tree removal, trimming and stump-grinding contract. The three bids revealed were: Homer Tree Service at $83,700, John’s Pro Tree Service at $85,900, and Fernandez Tree Service at $88,500.
Alderman Heather Begley moved to refer the bids to the Municipal Grounds & Property Committee for review; the motion carried on a voice vote. The committee will evaluate scope, references, and pricing before a contract recommendation returns to council.
