The Palos Heights City Council approved its consent agenda on Feb. 17, 2026, including minutes from the Feb. 3 meeting and payroll and voucher lists through Feb. 13.
Council also approved special-event permits: the Recreation Department’s 5K on April 18, 2026, and the Palos Baseball Organization and Palos Power Girls Softball opening-day parade on April 25, 2026. Alderman Jeffrey Key moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion passed on a roll call vote with seven ayes and one absence. Mayor Robert Straz asked the council to waive all fees for the April 25 opening-day parade; that motion carried on a voice vote.
The approvals clear the way for spring community events the council highlighted during the meeting. The council recorded no dissent on these items.
