At a conceptual consultation, Jay Grondin of Allen & Major Associates presented a plan for Hanna International Foods at 132 Plaistow Road that would add about 2,300 square feet to the existing building for expanded food processing, a retail shop and a bagel shop pickup window. Grondin said the addition is "off the south side of the existing building" and described septic upgrades driven by an increase in restaurant seats.
Planning staff noted the proposal is similar to a previously approved plan and indicated no obvious obstacles to proceeding through the normal review process. The applicant said they are coordinating with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to amend a previously approved curb cut as part of the work. The Board did not take any final action at the conceptual stage and advised the applicant to proceed with formal submissions.
