The Mineral Point School Board voted Jan. 13 to grant its Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) delegate authority to vote on resolutions on behalf of the board.
Member Skelding moved to allow the WASB delegate to vote for the board; Member Heisner seconded. The motion was approved by roll call with all six members present voting yes: Skelding, Busch, Harris, Heisner, Johnston and Dunn (6-0).
The action delegates the board's representative at WASB events to cast votes on resolutions presented to the association. The board recorded no limitations or abstentions related to the delegation at the meeting.
The WASB (Wisconsin Association of School Boards) is the statewide association referenced in the agenda; the board's vote authorizes its delegate to act in association-level votes during the association's processes.
