Wimberley ISD board adopts Policy Update 124 covering ethics, investments, IP and student welfare

Jason Valentine, Assistant Superintendent, reviewed Policy Update 124 and the set of local policy revisions that were presented to the Board for consideration. The update package included amendments to local policies CAA(LOCAL) (Fiscal Management Goals and Objectives – Financial Ethics), CDA(LOCAL) (Other Revenues – Investments), CY(LOCAL) (Intellectual Property), DH(LOCAL) (Employee Standards of Conduct), EHB(LOCAL) (Curriculum Design – Special Programs), EHBB(LOCAL) (Gifted and Talented), FFG(LOCAL) (Student Welfare – Child Abuse and Neglect) and GKA(LOCAL) (Conduct on School Premises).
Ken Strange moved to approve Policy Update 124 and Andrea Justus seconded; the motion passed with a recorded result of Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1. Board members received the update packet that had been provided to them on Feb. 18, 2025 prior to taking the vote.
