The Palos Heights Police Department told the Public Safety Committee on Feb. 24, 2026 that there were 664 total calls for service during the reporting period. The department also reported 39 traffic crashes: 6 hit-and-run, 29 property-damage crashes and 4 personal-injury crashes.
Chief Yott presented additional enforcement metrics included in the meeting packet: 279 red-light violations issued, 15 DACRA citations and 169 hours of training recorded. The report also listed traffic-enforcement results year to date: 9 DUI arrests, 423 traffic stops and 46 arrests. Committee members received the packet numbers without objection and did not amend the report.
